Readers:

I was undergoing some rather unusual training at Ft. Belvoir and over the
Virginia countryside.

I was asked by my instructors what I thought of the stuff that the USAF
people were apparently feeding me (You really couldn't trust anyone). I said
it was O.K.

You have to understand, yes, I saw movies like "War of the Worlds", "Earth
vs. the Flying Saucers", etc. but, as of 1968, I had no "experiences", that
is seeing or meeting anyone not of terra. Nor, did I really know anyone who
had. I wasn't up on anything current in the ufo realm either. I think what
fascinated my instructors was my "native" willingness to kind of accept what I
read (I had no strong Winston or Harry traits in me). I didn't say yeah I
believe, but what I did was give my instructors a compare/contrast response
with stories that I heard on the razz and said "cool" to as a kid but wasn't
going to tell my buddies back in the city projects (because of this
attitude, I did get a tribal name until I was in my early thirties; my
tribal elders knew I had "talent" but was a jerk).

side story- about the jerk part: My great grandfather was still alive and
was a surviving warrior of a "conflict" between my tribe and the US
government in the late 1800's. My parents, however, although both born and
raised on the razz were victims of the BIA "assimilation policy" (forget
being an "indian" or at least don't raise your kids traditionally because it
will only create problems for them). Well, in the city I watched TV, you
know cowboys/cavalry and Indians, with my parents never saying anything, so
when I went to the razz one summer I wore my new white cavalry hat with
golden cross sabers and all....I had to attend a big tribal pow wow and my
great grandfather wanted me to go with him....I did and you know what I wore
on my empty head....I didn't think a thing of it until I was dancing with my
great-grandfather and his friends.....I finally realized I was wearing the
gear of his enemy...I tried to take my hat off but he won't let me....my
early native education was much like this..."after the fact realization" as
well as my ufology experiences....know that I think of it ....god was/am I
dumb................

I am not bring in my cultural background out of ego but it had a lot to do
with my "involvement." Much of what I read was USAF investigative stuff.
Names of people who saw something-type revelations, like Bill and Mary were
driving along this road and saw a bright fast moving light. I didn't write
anything down or take notes. All the locations, project names (other than
"Blue Book" because I saw a movie documentary about ufos that mentioned this
report when I was 12 or 13), etc. meant nothing to me at the time.

What caught my eye (I had two at the time) was the mention of well known
individuals, formation of organizations, and ....yes,
Extraterrestrials.....I kind of smirked when I mentioned this to my
instructors. They asked me what I thought? I said space aliens here, "give
me a break." I said they'd be runn'in the country by now or we'd have our
own flying saucers blow'in away the "k*#ks in 'Nam. I thought it was a
reality test to see if I was weird or something. Nothing more was mentioned
from these special instructors. They really weren't at Belvoir but at
Bolling AFB in DC. I was glad to get back to Belvoir.

All I can say about what I read at this time is that there was an "accident"
near a new Mexican town of Roswell in July of 1947. Two crafts were involved
and both dead and live EBE's were recovered. The President, probably Truman,
was never told this latter data. The live ones died but the most memorable
thing was that they said "others" were coming.

What I keyed in on though was an indication of an internal struggle within
the US government, especially in the 50's, between the CIA and the USAF (who
both came to life right after Roswell, that is, not because of but just
lucky that it happened that way).

The problem was what to do about the "problem." Containment was the apparent
answer. CIA wanted control and was developing a special base in Nevada. CIA
said that USAF was doing a creditable job but the involvement of certain
defense contractors was unnecessarily relinquishing government control. I
never realized what the problem was until Winston surprised me with his
observation of what was missing from MJ-12. The government need an all-around
guy- like Glenn's coming-out appearance in 1961. Understand that the
documents about MJ-12-type group was not MJ-12 origin but USAF intell
intercept type.

The USAF convinced Glenn's friends that there should be a blending of
military, scientist, intelligence, etc. to neutralize complete CIA
dominance. The ufologists got a scent of this, as in ...1961 the USAF
created the embryonic group..... the AFCIN Intelligence Team. The idea was
to have a quick-react, multipi-disciplined response team to any further ufo
occurrences...

The above later transformed itself into a more worldly group with NATO ties-
the group that I refer to as STAAR.
